The government of Australian Capital Territory (ACT) will consider the sale of the state’s betting agency ACTTAB amid growing concerns about its ability to operate in an increasingly competitive market.
The betting agency provides ACT residents with a range of betting options including racing, sports, keno and Trackside (a simulated computer-driven racing game based on a fixed odds system) through the internet or via the telephone, as well as through 55 outlets across Canberra.
