Tallinn-based technology provider Yolo Group has extended its partnership with Solaride for another two years, providing key support for an educational project focused on building the first solar car in the Baltics.

The deal now runs until the end of 2025, and will see Yolo Group’s branding feature on Solaride’s entry to the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge next year.

Yolo Group had previously supported Solaride’s 2023 campaign at the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge in Australia, with Yolo Group ambassador Brett Lee meeting the Solaride team at the finish line.

Yolo Group has also hosted recruitment workshops to help Solaride attract the best young talent in Estonia.

“Solaride is all about empowering young people who are not afraid to step outside of their comfort zone to make a difference, and we couldn’t have found a better partner to support this mission than Yolo Group,” said Solaride CEO Asso Soosalu.

“Their ‘fun, fast and fair’ approach has already been a huge help to us, and we’re looking forward to working even more closely with their team to bring our dream of another successful World Solar Challenge to life in 2025.”

Yolo Group head of partnerships Richard Barnwell added: “The Solaride team is a huge inspiration to all of us at Yolo Group. We’re on the same page when it comes to putting innovation at the heart of everything.

“It’s been a real pleasure working alongside them and supporting their epic journey to Australia last October to compete in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge. We simply couldn’t turn down the opportunity to do it all again in 2025!”

Based in Estonia, the Solaride project started in 2020 on the initiative of two students of the University of Tartu to build the first solar car in the Baltics.
