Proponents of a regulated iGaming market in Brazil suffered a setback Wednesday after the country’s Comisión de Constitución, Justicia y Ciudadanía (CCJ) parliamentary commission voted against Senate Bill 186/2014.
The Commission rejected the bill by a vote of 13-2 in yet another setback for the proposal first introduced by Senator Ciro Nogueira four years ago, which has since been amended by Senator Benedito de Lira to legalise various forms of gambling.
