The South African Football Association has suspended five officials including its president following an investigation by football’s governing body FIFA into alleged match-fixing in the run up to the 2010 World Cup.

An emergency committee of the South African Football Association (SAFA) acknowledged Monday that the outcome of warm-up matches prior to the FIFA 2010 World Cup may have been influenced by outside parties as a result of the actions of members of its staff.
