Kindred Group’s Unibet brand has been unveiled as a new betting partner of German football club RB Leipzig.
The three-season agreement runs until the end of the 2020/21 season, providing Unibet with a brand presence at the club’s 43,000 capacity Red Bull Arena, as well as on TV advertising materials and social media.
"As a young club, we are still looking for strong partners who fit in with RB Leipzig and our way,” said RB Leipzig managing director Oliver Mintzlaff. “With Unibet we have found such a partner for us. We look forward to the cooperation and the exciting projects that we will now tackle together.”
RB Leipzig was founded just ten years ago in 2009 by energy drink manufacturer Red Bull, climbing the leagues to finally secure promotion to the Bundesliga ahead of the 2016/17 season.
The following year the club finished as runners-up and secured a place in the 2017/18 UEFA Champions League. The club is currently 4th in this season’s Bundesliga, 14 points behind leaders Dortmund.
