China’s lottery market saw total sales increase by 20 per cent to a record RMB511.47bn (€66.4bn) in 2018 following a strong performance from the Sports Lottery during the year.
Sales in December grew by 8 per cent compared to a year ago to RMB43.02bn, following growth of 18 per cent from the Sports Lottery to RMB22.42bn, which offset a marginal 0.2 per cent decline in sales from the Welfare Lottery to RMB20.60bn.
