Canadian gaming technology provider Amaya has revealed that participation in the recently launched Kenya mobile lottery has exceeded 100,000 players a day, far exceeding the company’s own internal targets.
Launched on February 13th, the SMS lottery known as KwachuMamilli has already paid out close to €500,000 in prize money, with over 50 winners of the daily millionaire jackpot (KES1.0m/€8,130).
At a participation level of 100,000 players a day, that equates to daily revenues of approximately €40,000.
