PartyGaming Adds Fueps to Italian Poker Network

24th November 2009 8:05 am GMT

Marking the company's fifth B2B deal of the year, PartyGaming plc announced Tuesday that it has launched an online poker service for Fueps, a leading operator of casual skill games in the Italian market.

The three year agreement will see Feups, which boasts a catalogue of over 100 games and more than 550,000 registered users, join PartyGaming's Italian poker network alongside PartyPoker and Intralot.

Feups was acquired in its entirety last month by Milan-listed Dada S.p.A, a community and entertainment service provider, for a total contribution of €1.7 million. This followed an earlier agreement for the purchase of 51% held by RCS Digital in June of this year.

"Fueps is our fifth business-to-business deal this year and is an excellent addition to our Italian poker network," said Jim Ryan, CEO of PartyGaming.

"This agreement is consistent with our aim to establish a strong presence in the Italian poker market and to be well-placed to take advantage of the further deregulation of online gaming that is already planned to take place in Italy over the next few months."

Shares in PartyGaming plc (Co. Profile) (LSE:PRTY) are currently trading at 257.50 pence per share in London this morning.
