Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr has announced the indictment of more than twenty individuals for their involvement in multiple criminal schemes, including a $1m illegal betting operation.
The twenty defendants have been accused of generating millions in unreported revenue, including the distribution of marajuana, illegal sale of prescription oxycodone pills, tax fraud and illegal gambling.
The charges were announced by DA Vance, New York City Police Commissioner William Bratton and Waterfront Commissioner Ronald Goldstock.
