French gaming regulator L’Autorité de régulation des jeux en ligne (ARJEL) has revealed that the conclusion of Euro 2016 and the Rio Olympics helped the country’s iGaming market grow by 10 per cent during the third quarter of 2016.
Total gross gaming revenue rose to €193m, with strong growth in sports betting stakes and revenue offsetting a worsening decline in horse racing. Poker continued to decline, though this proved to be slower than expected over the quarter.
