The Australian state of Victoria has awarded a new twelve-year wagering and betting licence to Tabcorp Holdings Limited, allowing the company to offer on-course and off-course betting on thoroughbred, harness and greyhound racing, as well as other approved sporting events including simulated racing games and the operation of a betting exchange.
Ahead of a rival bid from Tatts Group, Victoria’s coalition government awarded the new contract to Tabcorp’s wholly owned subsidiary, Tabcorp Wagering (Vic) Pty Ltd.
