Greek gaming monopoly operator OPAP has confirmed that its president and CEO Ioannis Spanoudakis has been appointed interim chairman of the company, following the resignation of incumbent Haris K. Stamatopoulos last week.
Both Spanoudakis and Stamatopoulos were appointed CEO and chairman respectively in December 2009, after the company’s previous CEO and other board members tendered their resignation as a result of the new Greek socialist government coming to power in elections in October.
