European football governing body UEFA has confirmed that it is monitoring the situation in Turkey, as Turkish football becomes the latest country to become embroiled in serious allegations of match-fixing and corruption, with more than 30 people now facing charges including the deputy chairman and president of leading club sides Besiktas and Fenerbahce.
