The city of Sault Ste. Marie in Canada’s Ontario province has formed a digital gaming task force to offer strategic direction and assess opportunities in online gambling, and attract new investment to the industry.

US gaming supplier International Game Technology (IGT) has agreed a deal to provide new video lottery terminals (VLTs) to the Oregon State Lottery, with the company now supplying more than 40 per cent of the market.

Inspired Gaming Group has signed an exclusive agreement to supply its Open SBG Core technology platform and games to Spanish land-based gaming operator Grupo R. Franco.

Chinese lottery suppliers AGTech and China LotSynergy have further expanded their respective operations in the growing Chinese sports lottery market with new deals in the provinces of Hebei, Tianjin and Gansu.

North American lottery supplier Pollard Banknote said that its traditional paper-based instant tickets business will continue to drive the future success of the company, although it remains “well-positioned” to capitalise on the recent development of lotteries selling products on the internet.
