Toronto-listed gaming operator The Stars Group has closed its previously announced public offering of common shares, raising an estimated US$622m to fund the acquisition of Sky Betting & Gaming.
The public offering at a price of $38.00 per share saw a total of 17 million shares sold by the company, as well as 8 million shares held by certain shareholders.
The net proceeds after underwriting discounts and commissions is expected to amount to approximately $622m.
