US casino and racetrack operator Penn National Gaming has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Illinois video gaming terminal operator Prairie State Gaming (PSG), providing the company with more than 1,100 terminals across a network of 270 gaming establishments throughout the state.

Penn National will acquire the company in an all cash transaction for an unspecified amount, with the deal expanding the company’s operations in Illinois where it owns three land-based casinos – Argosy Alton, Holywood Casino Aurora, and Hollywood Casino Joliet.
